Brief

Skybound Wealth wanted to create a luxury magazine tailored for its high-net-worth clients. The goal was to produce a refined publication that blended financial insight with aspirational lifestyle content while maintaining the brand’s premium positioning. The magazine needed to be structured and visually engaging, with a cohesive design system that would allow the publication to be monetised in the future with promotional adverts.

With plans for a quarterly release, the project demanded a scalable and efficient design approach that would ensure consistency and quality over time.

Challenge
Naming the magazine was the first challenge, as it needed to evoke exclusivity, ambition, and elegance while aligning with the Skybound Wealth brand. Beyond the name, the design process required the creation of a flexible, adaptive design system that could be used across multiple issues. Typography and colour palettes had to be standardised to maintain a cohesive visual identity, while individual articles needed enough variation to remain visually distinct. The magazine also required a set of reusable components that would streamline the layout process, allowing for efficiency without sacrificing sophistication. Developing a system for stylised article headers was equally important to enhance readability and give each a premium, editorial feel.

Result
The result was Soar, a name that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of ambition, growth, and refinement that Skybound Wealth embodies. The magazine was designed to be read seamlessly both in print and online, delivering an elegant and immersive reading experience. The adaptable design system provided structure without rigidity, making future issues easier to produce while ensuring each article retained a polished and unique presentation. A rich photographic style brought the publication to life, reinforcing the luxury feel with carefully curated imagery. Beyond its role as an engaging client publication, Soar also established a foundation for future brand partnerships and advertising opportunities, solidifying its value as an extension of Skybound Wealth’s premium offerings.
